Well, you can now kick your makeup skills up a notch – Here are the 14 Makeup Tools You Need to Have that will definitely let you meet your makeup goals.
- Curler to Slay your Eyelashes
How to: Position your eyelash curler around your eyelashes – the upper lashes must be between the edges of the curler. Squeeze the curler edges together and hold for like a minute. Gently release the curler. Repeat as needed.
Tip to use it: Ensure that your eyelashes are clean and free of mascara because the eyelashes becomes brittle and are prone to breakage once mascara is applied.
- Let me see your sculpted face
How to: Even out your skin by prepping it with foundation to create a uniform base. Map your face by applying the darker foundation across your temple as well as to your cheekbones and the side of your nose. Blend well with a beauty blender or Kabuki brush. Apply the lighter foundation beneath your eyes and blend it in. Dust a setting / loose powder on your entire face with a fluffy brush.
Tip to use it: Matte contour products beats shimmer products hands down. Blend it in completely to avoid harsh lines that will appear prominent on the face.
Hack: If you do not want to buy a palette, just buy 2 stick foundation – one should be two shades lighter than your color and the other should be two shades darker.
- A dab here, there
How to: Thoroughly saturate the beauty blender with water / facial mist to make it damp. Put a bit of makeup at the back of your hand and dab the sponge on it or just press the sponge directly into the makeup. Then dab the sponge gently on your face to blend in the makeup. The smaller end is perfect for smaller areas like top of lips, eyes and nose area.
Tip to use it: The beauty blender should be damp but not dripping wet before use. Give it a gentle squeeze to prevent tearing or ripping. Clean your beauty blender regularly with soap to prevent growth of micro-organisms on it.
